In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry, and is generally considered to have been a bad move.

Square Eye Co has a weird product (not to mention a very sad web design) that allows you to watch TV lying on your back. Hmmm wonder what else I could use this for.

Hey Nilesh get back online. What remote village are you in that you can't blog from?

RioCarHere's Riocar, an mp3 player specially for the car. It's based on Linux and sports a 10GB laptop harddrive which one can fill in thru USB. The drive can be upgraded to 60GB making it 1020 hours of non-stop music in the car!! Enough for a tour across the country. ;-) The indication that it is based on Linux is the sole Tux logo on the main product page. There is no mention anywhere on the site about the underlying OS. :-( Why, are they afraid Linux haters will not buy their product??

Powers of Ten
View the Milky Way at 10 million light years from the Earth. Then move through space towards the Earth in successive orders of magnitude until you reach a tall oak tree just outside the buildings of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, Florida. After that, begin to move from the actual size of a leaf into a microscopic world that reveals leaf cell walls, the cell nucleus, chromatin, DNA and finally, into the subatomic universe of electrons and protons.

Have you ever used VMware? There is also GPL project like VMware called Bochs IA-32 Emulator. It is an x86 PC emulator. it can be compiled to emulate a 386/486/Pentium CPU. It runs on Linux, Win95, DOS and WinNT4.0.
Well, these are not the only x86 emulators available. There are a lot more. You may try out Plex86 or Wine or User Mode Linux or a386 or the Brown Simulator, GPL-VM or Connectix Virtual PC or probably Win4Lin.

Using the old sound card as a DSL modem reminds me of a long time ago, not so far away. The old Sinclair Spectrum used to store its data on audio cassette, so one day we conencted two of them to the telephones via audio couplers attached to their audio out. No modem and data flowing!
