Virtual Private Networks

June 19, 2002 05:59 PM

Today I was surfing around with just one thing in mind - VPN. And I came up with some amazing links. So if you are dead sure that VPN expands to Very Pleasant NeighborTM, here is something you need to know -

You can always start with a decently technical introduction to VPN. And a good FAQ will help too. If you are an HSW addict, here's How Virtual Private Networks Work for you. If you are thinking of any application of VPN at home, this can help you. You will need this IPSec Glossary. Understanding the protocols of VPN. Here's a fairly complete primer on IPSec. This is a reference to a huge collection of VPN references. If you have caught the VPN fever, Here is a list of recommended books on VPN. If you are thinking about the problems of implementing VPNs, Here is a 10-point plan. Now, you must be really wanting to start off experimenting with VPN on OpenBSD and Linux. That's enough for now.
